Tony Caico, Founder of Bet On Jesus
Tony Caico is the founder and owner of Affinity Five Search Group, a nationally recognized executive recruitment company that specializes in mortgage banking. Tony is also a self-professed Compulsive Gambler, whose life was torn apart several times because of his addiction. He first started gambling in 1990, mostly on football betting. His gambling started to accelerate to other sports, dog and horse racing, casino visits and the worst of all, poker. His life was ripped apart after a very public mortgage banking crash, when he lost his job during the mortgage banking crisis of 2008. Gambling, along with several other addictions, led to divorce, home foreclosure, and bankruptcy. It also tore his family completely apart.
In 2013, Tony finally ended up in a rehabilitation center in central FL for his addiction. Little did he know that his life was about to take on a new direction. Not entirely through the addiction rehab program (which was essential), but mainly through a new relationship with Jesus Christ. On the floor in the kitchen at the rehab center, cleaning off caked on grease on a fryer, at 50 years old, Tony met Jesus and turned over the reins of his life. God did the rest.
Tony is now a child of the one true King. He is remarried to his beautiful wife, Dina. He has renewed relationships with all five of his children and has done his best to make up for lost time. Tony and Dina are covenant members of The Church of Eleven Twenty-Two in Jacksonville, FL. They live in Ponte Vedra Beach, have a beautiful, blended family of 7 children, and thank God each day for their blessings.
Tony’s call to start Bet of Jesus came to him while reading about how prevalent gambling has become in society. He heard God’s voice that told him to do something about it, that he wasn’t un-fit for use because if His past, and that he is perfectly gifted and anointed to show up and put his yes on the table. Just like what happened to him in rehab, the power of The Lord Jesus Christ can give us a new heart, a renewed mind, and help us lead more fruitful and productive lives.
Amen
